Clip Reel...

Roll it!

Today in the Big Roll play area, we had a lot of action involving Max, Liberty, and Reilly... Border Collie Max, sure knows how to stir up the fun!

Big puppy-head, Oliver, has recently "graduated" from the Medium Roll to the Big Roll. He is experiencing his second day of the Large Pack today. We are glad he's made the move, and sure enough, as you can see, he is doing well and loving his new digs/friends.

In the Medium Roll today, it was our normal "cyclone of fur" that is Lucky and Yuki hahaha!

As usual, Georgie played her tail off, this time with "siblings" Lucy and Max. Awesome stuff.

Upstairs in the Little Roll, we had our cute Wednesday Regulars, and of course, lots of ball time. Sometimes, it can be rather hard to catch the little dogs engaging in dyadic (one on one), wrestling-style play... Today however, we got lucky. Here are Fort Fido mainstays, Oreo and Samarah, having a darn good time together.

Take it easy,

Nancy's Chicken Chase Game

The Little Roll was treated to some hilarious fun this afternoon. Nancy's brainchild, The Chicken Chase Game, was a comical hit. Beija, Frizzy, Gherie and Samarah seemed the most interested out of the group but many tried it out. Nancy thought that dogs with a bit of "prey-drive" would really be into this game... The game being a very popular Skinneeez Stuffing-Less Toy (they come in many different animals including chickens, foxes, rabbits, skunks, etc...) attached to a slip lead and stick. Kinda like an old-timey fishing pole or carnival game. You can whip this thing around and many dogs in the little pack seem to really enjoy it. Pretty funny stuff, here are a few clips of the Chicken Chase Game in action hahaha.

Cheers,

-Grant
P.S. Of course, we carry the Skinneeez line of dog toys. They are quite popular, an awesome toy that tends to last, check 'em out! ;)

*Public Service Announcement*

We do not promote/recommend exacerbating any animals Prey Drive instincts (Notwithstanding, certain styles of training or activities; working dogs, hunting dogs, guard dogs, etc...) However, given the circumstances, this game ended up being just fine for the Little Pack. We would never try this in the Big or Medium Rolls, it simply would not fly (no pun intended there) and would potentially cause a fight. The Little Group is just a different beast. We know each of our Fort Fido dogs well and would never put them in harms way. Today's group was able to handle the chickeny-funness without drama. :)

- Clip Day -

Check out these great clips from The Rolls today!

Up first is one of Boxer Sam and Yellow Lab Big-Boy Ryker sharing in some fun.

Two from the Medium Roll.

Gordon, Jasmine, Emily and Marley were tearing it up, a very normal occurrence lol.

Barkley and Niko have been buddies for some time now, Jasmine, has also been welcomed into their session.

Upstairs was your daily crazy-ball-time. The Littles sure learn how to retrieve well due to the constant stream of tossed-toys. It's fun up there, for the dogs and the "Wrangler".

One more clip from the Little Roll features busy-gal Samarah enjoying a jolly time with the loveable Gherie. ;)

Take care,

-Grant

Great Photo & Clips

Check out Sammy here... King of the Little-Tikes-Toy. Sam is a long time member of Fort Fido's Little Pack, one of the King's of the Little Roll really. He is a four year old Shih Tzu and is quite the character. Nobody pulls one over on old Sam, that I guarantee lol.

Here is a great shot of Mr. Jack (a four year old, brindle, Boxer Mix, long-timer) having a blast in the Medium Roll like he always does. On a sidenote... Our hearts go out to Jack and his family. Unfortunately his big brother Duke (longtime Big Roll member) is going through some serious medical issues. Hopefully Duke will be able to overcome them. Get well Buddy, we know you can do it!

Ending this post with two sweet clips from the Little Roll. It was fun, fast and furious up there today (kinda like the weather)! The clips show Samarah in fiesty bouts of wrestle play and neck-fighting. First she romps hard with little Chloe (Don't let her size fool ya) then has a duel with the happy-go-lucky Raleigh . Cute stuff here folks. ;)

Cheers,

-Grant

A Clip Day

In this clip from the Big Roll; Charly, Lulu, Mollie and Sam have a great pack-run-moment.

One from the Medium Roll shows Fort Fido regular Niko doing what he does best, this dog can play well and play hard!

Two from the Little Roll. One is just a cross section of the pack, the other, shows Frizzy and Samarah enjoying a feisty bout of play.

Two new pups, no camera, doh!

We had two new dogs assess this morning. Unfortunately I forgot my camera in my Fiance's car, pics will be coming later this week.

The first canine was Darby. She is a seven month old, 55 pound, Golden Retriever. Darby did excellent, she started playing with members of the Medium Roll pack right off the bat! She is going to be tired after this 1/2 day.

Our second assessment was Samarah. She is a one year old, 12 pound Shih Tzu. She likes to play rough (in a good way) and went for some of the rowdiest that we have upstairs in the Little Roll. Apparently some of Sami's best buddies are big bruisers. She has a Mastiff friend and a Pitbull mix buddy! Nice job Sami!

All in all it's been a great morning... Minus forgetting that camera! Haha! :(

Take care

-Grant
