This clip features our buddy, Thorn, ripping it up with young dogs Max and Pancake, in the Medium Roll.
Way to go you wild ones!
Well, if you thought Fort Fido was cool... Wait until you get a load of Dog Island. OMG! This is the epitome of a canine-paradise-sanctuary, albeit a bit "Lord of the Flies"! Here is an excerpt from their front page.
"Over 2,500 dogs are already enjoying a better life at Dog Island. Separated from the anxieties of urban life, dogs on Dog Island are healthy dogs who live a natural, healthy and happy life, free from the stress and hardship associated with daily life among humans.
They live with almost limitless space, and tens of thousands of rabbits, rodents, fish and other natural prey. Surrounded by thousands of other dogs, this is the only place for them to be truly social and create healthy families. Dogs at Dog Island have another chance."
Maybe I'll send Gibson to Dog Island to visit... But IDK, maybe he wouldn't want to come back lol! If you are interested in sending your dog there, let us know, I'd love to hear about the experience. Maybe we could get a mini NW one going on Anderson Island? Some land is cheap there, ha!
Stay cool,
-Grant
P.S. Yes, I've attempted to trick you... Dog Island, of which I was told about by a friend (who totally believed in it), is not real. I could not believe it at first, and argued with my friend about it for a bit lol. Then, I looked it up online with the trusty old Snopes, and confirmed my suspicions. Hahaha! I am sure they have pranked thousands with that website. Too rich!
First up, from the Medium Roll, we have Jackson, showing young pups, Yuki and Pancake, how to play nice. My how you have matured Mr. Jackson lol, way to go! You sure have been helpful in keeping some of these wild youngbucks in line.
In the Big Roll... It was a bit of a "cuddle fest" haha. Brutus, Marco Polo, and Grady settled down into "neck fighting" (a type of play) after ripping around crazy for awhile. It's just like these three, tired, and still going for it!
Upstairs, in the Little Roll, Henry was the dog-man of the day. He, among others, was playing hard and having a blast. In this clip, you can also spot Tula, Marlee, Jaeger, Dolly, and Dwayne. Good times!
Next Up we've got Pancake and Macey, a pair of adorable medium rollers, also this clip features Lucy with her awesome new, summer ready hair-do!
And last, but certainly not least we have a couple of the puppies from our Medium Roll. Yuki, and Sierra play as Max patiently watches from the sidelines, waiting for the perfect moment to pounce!
Another great day with friends here at Fort Fido. Remember to check in on days your pup was with us, and maybe you'll see them here on the blog or playing on the television in the lobby.
Hotdog! I thought the clip we scored yesterday was good... Get a load of these two clips from today.
First up, we see Gingerrunnin' amok (BTW I'm using that phrase in a jokingly good way lol.) upstairs in the Little Roll. She has been having a blast here at The Fort since her first day. She also has been getting the Little Pack to engage in lots of play... Not just ball time play. From wrastlin' to chase-me games, this little dog does it all with any pup that can keep up. Gherie, Marlee, and Riley, were just a few of Ginger's chums this visit.
In the Medium Roll, Ginger's big sister, Macey, had her "Whirling Dervish" impression on par with Gingers hahaha. Macey has been playing strong with several dogs from our ranks. Today, she sprinted around the most, with young dogs Pancake and Sammy.
