Photoshoot Friday

Hurray it's Friday! I was feelin camera happy today so I decided to take a bunch of cute photos of your guys pups. Check 'em out, I hope they put a smile on your face. :)

The Need For Speed

Meet Speed, she is a pretty, two year old, sixty-two pound, Brindle, Greyhound, that had her assessment this morning. Due to the fact that, Speed, although large and fast, is a bit of a "couch potato", we had her try out the Medium Roll Play Area lol. Once therein, Speed sniffed around a bit, then graciously met with the other canines. We were told that Speed would most likely play in short bursts and then just lounge around... That's pretty much what she did. We didn't see too much play out of her, however, she seemed interested. She especially perked up, when her outside-The Fort-dog friend, and Fort Fido regular, Sophie, showed up. As the morning progressed and the Medium Roll's pack grew in size, Speed, continued to act cool, calm, and collected. She is a very sweet dog that is welcome here anytime. We hope to see her get into some more "play-action" in future visits. Good job today Speed, you gorgeous creature you!

Seasoned Sophie

Fort Fido's crew was ready to meet Miss Sophie today. She is a gentle, ten year old, fifty-eight pound, Black Mouth Cur. This sweet and mature gal trotted back with us to the Medium Roll. There, Sophie wasn't quite sure where she was, or what she was supposed to do inside The Fort's play area. Being a wee bit older than your average Daycare Dog, Sophie isn't one for crazy-wrestle-play like some of our younger canines guests. However, Sophie has socialized with dogs before, and seemed to enjoy being around the pack. Once she figured out that she wasn't "at The Vet for surgery", Sophie relaxed a bit more. Given some time and consistency, we believe that Sophie can be even more comfortable here, and relax while visiting. She has a very kind disposition, and is pretty darn tolerant of young whippersnappers. Sophie, you may stay with us anytime, way to go today girl, ya did just fine!

3 new pups ! ! !

Woo, what a morning... We had three assessments at Fort Fido today. Lucky for everyone they all turned out pretty darn good. Here was the lineup:

Sophie is a seven year old, 85 pound, Black and Tan German Shepherd. She headed to the Big Roll and did well. Sophie spoke "good dog" and had tons of energy for an older gal.

Charlie is a three year old, 15 pound, Bichon Frise. Charlie was sent upstairs to the Little Roll. He got right to work fitting in with the pack. Charlie was a happy, confident, all-around good dog.

The third assessment is another cutie named Charlie. This Charlie is a three month old, two and a half pound, Sable and White Japanese Chin. He is still just a baby, still learning the ropes but we already see a courageous personality emerging.

It was a good old eventful morning!
