Delightful Daisy

Yesterday we had the pleasure of meeting this delightful Daisy. Daisy is a 7 month-old, 30 lbs., Aussie Shepherd / Beagle. This Daisy bloomed as soon as she met another dog, within our Medium Dog Program, as if it were already spring. She hit it off with Frankie and fit right in with the others during her stay. Check out some of her play with Frankie below!

We are looking forward to seeing Daisy return for more great times.

Lucy is a very well-balanced puppy, and thoroughly enjoyed playing with the others. She joined our Medium Dog Program where she met her new best friend, Frankie. Check out this clip from earlier today of Lucy and Frankie playing.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of meeting Ryker. He is a two-year-old, one-hundred-pound, German Shepherd. Ryker joined our Large Dog Program. At first he wasn't sure what to think of the Fort, but with a regular daycare routine he should become more confident.

Both Lucy and Ryker are welcome back anytime, and we hope to see them again soon.

Neo and Finnley

We welcomed this joyful pup into The Fort Tuesday morning. Neo is a three month old Siberian Husky that weighs only twenty six pounds! This young one is quite the little ball of energy! (As expected. Did you know some Huskies can pull over three times their weight?) Overall, Neo got along great with the rest of his new daycare buddies. He's very high spirited, curious, and bright. I love his super alert, well furred ears.

We were able to capture his playfulness on video, check him out below, playing with his new friends Hank and Frankie !

Today we had the pleasure of meeting Finnley! She's a two year old, fifty pound Field Lab. Finnley passed her assessment with flying colors. Even though we just met her, this isn't the first time we met her parents, David and Susi. We met those two years ago, when they brought in their other dog, Grady, around 2011. All in all, Finnley had a great first day and seemed to fit in with her brother's pals like she's known them for years.

Neo and Finnley are both welcome to come back whenever they want; we would love to see them return! Have a great night everyone,
~Shaunte'

Andy, Max, and Paddington

Andy came into the Fort for his assessment bright and early yesterday morning. He is seven-month-old, twenty-eight-pound, Welsh Corgi mix. We look forward to seeing him again soon.

Max came in for his assessment this morning. He is a five-year-old, seventeen-pound, Boston Terrier. Max was very curious, and sniffed everything on his way back to our Medium Dog Program. He had a great time hanging out with the other dogs, and got into to a little bit of play. He passed his assessment with flying colors, and will be a great addition to our Medium Dog Program.

Last but not least, we have Paddington. He also joined the Fort this morning. Paddington is an adorable five-month-old, seven-pound, Havapoo (Havanese x Poodle). He joined our Small Dog Program, where he enjoyed mingling with the other dogs. Paddington is welcome back anytime. We hope to see him soon.

Have a great weekend,

Bear & Lulu

Bear came in for his assessment Tuesday morning and I must say, he had a blast! Bear is an eight year old chocolate lab/mix that weighs sixty five pounds and has the energy of an energetic puppy. He came in here a little shy, but once we introduced him to our  Medium Dog Program he met Frankie, a red Labradoodle that's about a year old. They instantly bonded with each other; those two played and played like they've been friends for years. It was cool to see Bear keep up and play with a dog that's so much younger than him. Check out the clips below to see those two in action!

This gorgeous girl joined us bright and early this morning with her tail all curly like a cinnamon bun, and her nose to the ground; she was very curious and eager to explore her new daycare. When I first saw Lulu she melted my heart. She's as soft as velvet and reminds me of a little mini Husky. She's actually a Shiba Inu that weighs sixteen pounds and is one year old. Lulu showed wonderful dog speak as she entered our Small Dog Program. She scoped out the area, and became familiar with her new pack as she mingled around, sniffing everything and wagging her tail.

I think Bear and Lulu will get a lot out of coming here for daycare. They're both happy, energetic dogs and I'm looking forward to seeing them again.

Have a good night,
~Shaunte
