Winnie

Today we introduced Winnie to Fort Fido. She is a good looking, high-energy, six month old, about thirty pound, chocolate colored, Labradoodle. Winnie was the perfect size, and had the right temperament, to try out our Medium Play Area. Inside the roll, she was ecstatic about getting to meet and greet with the other canines. After a couple of short "sniffs" with a few different pack members, Winnie, let out an awesome Play-bow, attempting to get Cody into play... And get Cody into play she did! The two Labradoodles became pals instantly, and had a blast together, sprinting around for a good part of the morning. Winnie continued to have a great time throughout her Assessment, fitting in with the group well and playing with any dog that was game. First-rate stuff Winnie, we look forward to your return!

From today's highlight reel

I was quite thrilled with the clips captured this morning and afternoon... A ton of good old-fashioned Dog Fun, with the majority of it happening in the Medium Roll. Check it out! Good times.

Effervescent Emma!

This morning we had the pleasure of adding a sweet old Goldendoodle gal named Emma to our medium pack. Although she is eight years old, Emma is in great shape and had a great time palling around with fellow 'doodle Cody (who is about seven years her junior). These two look like they could have been cousins, even though Cody is an Australian Labradoodle. They were great "peas in a pod" and were caught on camera this morning.



This well-rounded pup makes a great addition to our pack, and will continue to get along swimmingly.

We've been adding a great bunch of pups this week, and a big thanks to all of you for continuing to spread the word about the Fort!

Honaw found & Clips

We received some good news this morning... Lost pooch Honaw has been found. Apparently he popped up at the Tacoma Humane Society. Way to go! That must have been on emotional roller-coaster!

In the Medium Roll, Cody and Gracie rocked their "Doodle Style" lol.



Not to be outdone, the Little Roll had a wonderful group of wily rascals in rigorous play. There was even a lot of wrestling between them.

Courageous Cody

My goodness, this has been one busy/exciting week already, with three terrific new dogs in a row.

This morning we assessed Cody. Boy did this handsome devil have a fantastic time here! He is a six month old, twenty pound, apricot colored, Australian Labradoodle, just like Abby we assessed yesterday... What are the odds of that lol?

Now, youngin' Cody hung-out in the Medium Roll and wholeheartedly enjoyed himself. He wasted no time, going straight to play with a number of dogs. His energy level and spirits were high, fast and furious play was his game. There isn't any doubt that Cody and his owners will benefit greatly from dog daycare. We are pleased that this little fella has been socialized early and look forward to taking care of him again. Well done Cody!

Tuesday Clipage

Our first clip is of a nice "Boxing Match" lol. Shown here are Jack and Jasmine, two fine Medium Roll contenders duking it out. All in good fun of course!



In the second clip, long time Fido Friend, Cody, makes our play of the day. He catches this orange Chuckit Ball mid-air like a Major League Outfielder! It is right in the beginning so look closely, it's fast and you could miss it! ;)



Last but certainly not least is our third clip, from the Little Roll. It's a good one of Mr. Buddah and Little Buddy mixing it up in the Liquid-Rubber-Arena hahaha.

Cody & Lonnie

Cody is a Maltese / Havanese mix. He is around twelve pounds and will be having his first birthday soon. Iolani or "Lonnie" is a 4 year old, twelve pound, Bichon Frise / Miniature Poodle mix. They are both great little lads who really enjoy life. Boy are these two getting their kicks in this clip! Enjoy,
