Charlie, Rubin, & Basil

Say hello to Charlie & Rubin! Charlie & Rubin are both Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. This duo made their way up to our Small Dog Program simultaneously and casually began to meet and greet the other pups. They both mingled about and explored the play area during their time at The Fort today.

Yesterday we welcomed Basil. Basil is a sleek 7 year-old, 53 lbs., Black Lab Vizsla mix. Basil peeked his head out of the car and came right into The Fort. Basil spent his assessment day in our Large Dog Program and was able to socialize with the other dogs. We hope to see Charlie, Rubin, and Basil return for more fun soon.

Enjoy the sun,

"Ruby with the eyes that sparkle"

This morning we had the pleasure of assessing the ever-so-cute Ruby. She is a sweet, four month old, twenty-five pound, Vizsla. We wasted no time introducing Ruby to the Medium Roll. Once there, she got to meet and greet with new fun-loving pups Logan and Oliver... Those two, among others, proved to be an awesome match for Ruby throughout the morning. Ruby is doing a fine job at learning how to speak "Dog" and socialize. She is the perfect age for learning, and she's at the perfect "school" for learning, that being The Fort of course! We believe Ruby is going to grow into a very healthy and well-rounded canine. She is definitely welcome here anytime. Kudos to her owner for doing right by her!

Enjoy these two clips of Ruby jamming in the play area.

Be well,

-Grant
P.S. Also, Ruby just so happens to be the "niece" of Fort Fido regular Louie, cool stuff.

- Ginger -

This last Sunday, The Fort had the pleasure of assessing Miss Ginger. Ginger is a six year old, sixty-five pound, Vizsla. Nowadays, we have quite a few Vizslas at Fort Fido, and I can see why. They are striking dogs, that are vey clean, agile and intelligent... Ginger was no exception! She hung out in the Big Roll and could definitely hold her own. She spoke great "Dog" and socialized a wee bit. Unfortunately, she didn't bust out into a lot of "play", but we figure she will as she becomes more accustomed to our facility. One neat fact, is that Ginger's neighbor/boyfriend is the ever-so-dashing, Martin Skully, who has been a longtime Fido Regular. We hope to see their paths cross in here soon. Wonderful work Sunday Ginger!

Take care,

-Grant

Refined Rudy

This week has also started off with an early-morning assessment. Dogs seem to be flooding in lol.

Here is Rudy!

He is a kind, five year old, seventy pound, Vizsla. Rudy spent his time in the Big Roll and meshed well with the pack. He played a bit here and there but was tricky to catch on camera. Rudy got along well with the other dogs. It was quite apparent that he had been to dog daycare in the past. We enjoyed having Rudy in today and he is welcome back anytime. Hopefully there will be even more play out of him once he finds his niche.

Enjoy that warmth!

CLIP CLIP NEWS

Here from the Big Roll, Mr. McGee (a brindle Boxer) and Marco Polo (David and Nancy's Husky) are having a rip-roaringly good time.

In the Medium Roll we see that wily new Cooper (Pug) having a blast with young Vizsla pup Phoebe.

Cheers,

-Grant

- Meet Phoebe -

Phoebe had her assessment this morning. She is a five month old, 20 pound (?), pleasant little Vizsla. Phoebe played fabulously in the Medium Roll, she was as lively as the best of them! We think she will get a lot out of attending doggie daycare and can't wait to see her again.

Take it easy,

-Grant

Good clip of Teddy

Teddy is an extremely friendly and loving Vizsla that has been coming to Fort Fido for some time now. In this clip, Teddy is having a fun time romping around with Cooper.

Take care,
