Bramble (not the British blackberry bush) joined us for his assessment today. Bramble is a 3 year-old, 11 lbs., Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He entered Fort Fido as ready as can be and made his way into The Fort. Once there, Bramble up and into our Small Dog Program where he stayed throughout his assessment. Bramble was able to meet many other pups today as they came in throughout the morning and was able to mingle with them. We are looking forward to seeing Bramble more.
Say hello to Charlie & Rubin! Charlie & Rubin are both Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. This duo made their way up to our Small Dog Program simultaneously and casually began to meet and greet the other pups. They both mingled about and explored the play area during their time at The Fort today.
Yesterday we welcomed Basil. Basil is a sleek 7 year-old, 53 lbs., Black LabVizsla mix. Basil peeked his head out of the car and came right into The Fort. Basil spent his assessment day in our Large Dog Program and was able to socialize with the other dogs. We hope to see Charlie, Rubin, and Basil return for more fun soon.
Up for his Assessment Day yesterday, was Eddie! He is a adorable, six month old, eleven pound, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. This regal little fella hung out with us upstairs, in The Fort's Little Dog Play Area. Upon arrival, Eddie slowly crept around the play area, with his nose to the ground exploring. After some time passed and he got his bearings in the roll alone, it was time for Eddie to begin to meet the pack. Like the happy, cautious, yet curious pup he is, Eddie, met each canine guest that arrived with excitement and slight hesitation. He really did a outstanding job of greeting the others, without being too "in their faces". Often times young pups are "scolded" by the pack, when their greetings are too exuberant lol. As the day progressed, Eddie continued to meet, greet, and enjoy his time at Fort Fido. He even got in quite a lot of play and exercise. Eddie shall prove to be one fine addition to our Little Dog Pack, we are happy to have him. Way to be little dude, we'll see you next time!

This morning, the Fort Fido Crew got to meet up with the regal Bertie. He is a handsome, six year old, thirty-two pound, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. This fancy little fella is one kindly canine. We had him give the Medium Roll a go, and up in there, he did awesome. Although Bertie didn't play a whole heck of a lot, he did manage to stay happy and content during the whole duration of his visit. He enjoyed meeting with the other dogs and sniffing around the place. Every time one of us, or another canine, looked his way, Bertie would wag his tail delightedly. This sweet dog fit in very well with our pack, and based on his size and temperament, we know he could hangout with the Medium or Small Dogs. Bertie, you are most definitely welcome to stay at The Fort anytime, good on ya lad!
Meet Mr. Lucky! He is a charming, eight year old, thirty-one pound, white and light-brown colored, Cavachon... Which is a lovely mixture of Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Bichon Frise. This Dog Daycare and Overnight Boarding Veteran, stayed with us in our Medium Roll. There, Lucky, wagged his tail and sniffed about while leisurely getting to know the Play Area. As we introduced him to members of our pack, he seemed delighted to "meet and greet" with them. For the majority of his stay, Lucky carried with him, an easy-going and comfortable attitude. Although he didn't get into much play, his actions implied that he was pretty comfortable here at The Fort. We enjoyed Lucky, and we hope that he will enjoy staying with us. We would like to see him get involved into some more physical play, and believe that there is a good chance he will... Especially, after he spends some more time here at Fort Fido. Lucky, you had a tremendous first day, good on ya bud!
Welcome Chloe, she had her assessment today. Chloe is a ten month old, nine pound, Cavachon. She is a darn cute little pup that wasn't too sure what to think of the little pack and was a bit shy. We think her curiosity and playful spirit will bring out the best of her in time. As she gets more comfortable with the other dogs she should truly thrive.
Chloe's owners are excited and eager to learn new ways to better their pet, we really respect that, very cool! She is well on her way to becoming a well balanced member of the Fort Fido pack. Nice job Chloe!

Please welcome miss Lola to The Fort. She had her assessment in the Little Roll today. Lola is a one year old, eighteen pound, multicolored, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She is a lovely little dog that did quite well with her newfound pack. Lola went to playing rather quickly and clearly took pleasure in her stay. She will be a swell addition to the Little Roll. Excellent job Lola!
Raleigh had his assessment this morning. He is a very cute, one year old, 23 pound, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Raleigh putted around upstairs in the Little Roll and sniffed a few rear-ends haha. We expect him to start playing once he finds his groove. The first day can be a bit overwhelming, luckily Raleigh seemed pretty comfortable.
Have a nice weekend, we got one dry day coming, woo-hoo!
