Woofstock 2014 was groovy man...

(My wonderful gal, Molly, and I cheesin it for Zach... We later moved our table up so people could see us lol!)

Woofstock 2014 was a great success for shelter/rescue animals and all who attended. We had a nice time, and raffled off another Fort Fido basket, congrats to the winner! It rained for a little bit during setup, but after that it was sunny and hot. Thanks to all that checked out our booth and said hello, we really appreciated it!

This year, by the end of the day, Woofstock had 110 adoptions happen and about 2,500 visitors. Way to go!

Happy-Hardy-Haley

Feast your eyes on this fine specimen, Haley. She came into The Fort this morning, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, for her assessment. This darn cute, four month old, forty pound, German Shepherd Mix, is fun and full of energy. Her "Uncle", Sammy, is a Medium Roll Regular. The twosome, frequent the local dog parks, and routinely have a blast at them. Luckily for us, Sammy has been helping Haley learn how to play, socialize, and speak good "Dog". It most definitely shows, because Haley did an outstanding job here today, acting as if she had already been here many times before. She is welcome to come back to Fort Fido anytime.

Good golly Miss Molly!

Get a load of Molly! She is a fun-loving, six month old, thirty pound, Black Labrador Retriever, that assessed this morning. Molly is a very cute, wiggly, energy-filled Lab Pup, that is up for anything. Upon entering our Medium Roll, she seemed to know that "good times" were in store for her. Molly is learning to speak "good dog", and her studies are coming along nicely. She socialized a lot today, even getting into some high-paced play with Olive, Lucky, and Mac, amongst several others. All in all, Molly fits in quite well to Fort Fido's pack. She is welcome anytime, and we hope to see her again in the near future.

From today!

It was a really good mix upstairs in the Little Roll. Gherie was quite the baller, and he played hard, as he usually does. The rest of the Little Pack had fun as well.

In the Medium Roll, Barkley and Gracie, shared in some "doodle love" lol.

Also in the Medium Roll, Georgie and Molly, chased each other around for a good portion of the day. They're like "two peas in a pod".

Welcome Molly & Nelo

Checkout these two great new dogs we assessed this morning!

Meet Molly, she is a one year old, sixty pound, Blue Merle Australian Shepherd / Labrador Retriever Mix. Molly is a sweet dog that did well in the large roll. Although she didn't get into a whole lot of play, she seemed rather comfortable with the experience.

Molly's "Brother" is Nelo. Nelo is a one year old, seventy pound, Black Labrador Retriever / Golden Retriever Mix... We here at The Fort, think Nelo may be a Flat Coated Retriever Mix. This striking young dog had an awesome time in our Big Roll. Quite a bit more outgoing then sister Molly, Nelo, mingled with several different pack members. He spoke great "Dog", and played heartily with Diego, among others.

Both Molly and Nelo are welcome to attend Fort Fido anytime. They will be a fine addition to the pack, and we look forward to their next visit.

New Pup Molly

 

Hello everyone, meet The Fort's newest recruit, Molly! She is a darling, six month old, twenty-three pound, cream & apricot colored, Australian Labradoodle. Molly was happy and eager to have her assessment today at Fort Fido. She hung out with the Medium Roll Pack, and fit in very well. Molly spoke great "Dog" for a young canine, making friends quickly and easily. Her favorite playmate today was Max.
