Double Trouble!

Coincidentally, The Fort's team met up with two different Otis's recently...

Yesterday, we Assessed Otis (Hay). He is a happy-go-lucky, three year old, seventy-five pound, Goldendoodle. One gregarious dog, Otis, entered the Big Roll Play Area with ease and excitement. He was quite happy to meet and greet with every canine that entered after him. Otis held his joyful disposition throughout his whole visit. It was nice to see a new canine so calm and content on a first day... And although he didn't get into too much rowdy-play, he socialized a lot, and truly enjoyed his time spent with the pack.

Early this morning we met our second Otis, Otis (For). He is a bubbly, seven month old, forty pound, Cockapoo. Now this Otis is also super sweet, yet he is still much a high-energy and bouncy young pup, one that is still learning manners. To get him started at Fort Fido, we led him to the Medium Roll Play Area, which proved to be a very nice fit . There, Otis explored cheerfully, and got his badge picture taken. After that, it was time to meet some pack members. Otis met first with Cooper, and it was down-right perfect. Almost exactly the same age, Otis and Cooper hit it off instantly! The two lively canines sprinted and spun about the Medium Roll, in a furry of fun play. As time passed, Otis continued to meet with the different dogs that arrived, and most importantly, continued to play tons and have fun. Otis and his owners can get a lot out of Dog Daycare!

Here, Otis (For) rips around with Cooper:

Both Otis (Hay) and Otis (For) did an outstanding job on their Assessment Days, we plan on seeing them again very soon.

Be well,

-Grant

Two Clips

That's black Candy the Cockapoo... She can play ball by herself lol! Miller and Seamus can also be spotted.

This one is of Ruby and Buddy (an English Springer Spaniel) becoming the best of friends (new pup Jake can be seen lying on the floor).

Cheers,

Cockapoo Murphy

Our last (but not least :) assessment this week was Murphy. Murphy is a handsome, brown and black, 23 pound, almost two year old Cockapoo. He's the type of dog you just want to pickup, cuddle and never let go of (although we don't recommend too much of that ;). He did ok for his first day, didn't play, but we assume he will soon. A few months back, Murphy participated in a group training class at the fort. During the off-leash/socialization portion of class Murphy really enjoyed himself with the other pups. That's a great sign, we hope to see him having a barrel of fun in the Medium Roll soon.

Have a nice weekend,

-Grant
P.S. Bandit and Shelby came back today! Guess who busted out? Bandit! He cut a rug with Bruiser and a few others in the Medium Roll. Good stuff, he must be feeling comfortable, Shelby should follow his lead in time.

Abby & Jake !

The Fort welcomed two new recruits this morning and Jake was up first. He is an itty-bitty, three month old, German Shepherd who shall soon be a giant! Jake has these massive paws to grow into (the biggest I've seen on a pup in quite some time). He did decent in the Medium Roll, we can't wait for him to find his groove. In a few months, Jake will probably start hanging out with his Auntie Maggie (an all black German Shepherd, a Fort Fido regular) in the Big Roll.

After Jake strolled in, Abby stopped by. She is a beautiful little, three year old, Cockapoo. She has had a rough start (been attacked multiple times by large dogs) with dog socialization. We at the fort think Abby's day was not too shabby. She seemed to enjoy herself in the Little Roll despite some unfortunate situations in her past. Only time will tell. Word on the street is that she loves ball time... We love ball time too, it can be a great tool to get pets comfortable with doggie daycare.

Take it easy,

-Grant

Yeah! Christmas pictures!

We collect "Santa & Pup" pictures every Christmas here at Fort Fido and display them in the lobby. If you have a Christmas photo of your pet please bring it in, we'd love it!

So far we have Candy (a Cockapoo) visiting Mr. Kringle at two different locations, Cleo (a Ridgeback mix) with Santa (her owner said Santa was choking her lol) and Lila (Border Collie Mix) hanging out with Jolly Old St. Nick. Enjoy, take care,

-Grant
P.S. I gotta mention that Benny boy has just turned one year old today. He is a good lookin golden Happy Birthday Benny!
