- Zesty Zeus -

We welcomed Zeus into Fort Fido this morning. Zeus is a handsome 6-month-old Rhodesian Ridgeback. He was excited to enter The Fort for his assessment today. Zeus was cautious at first, but as soon as he met the other pups, he learned that he can relax and enjoy his time here. Zeus loved the time he had spent here in the morning as he met and socialized with the pack today within large roll. Zeus definitely enjoyed his stay and we look forward to seeing him return for some more fun with the pack at Fort Fido.

Enjoy the weather and stay cool,
- Zach

Gung ho Gunner!

This morning we assessed the enthusiastic Gunner. He is a ten month old, forty-two pound, Husky, maybe Ridgeback (our guess), Mixed Breed. Gunner stayed with us in The Fort's Medium Roll, and fit in nicely with the other dogs right away. He met up with Logan first thing, and the two hit it off incredibly well. Gunner is a smart young canine, that is all about having a good time, and socializing whole-heartedly with the pack... He's certainly our kind of dog. Good on ya today Gunner, you're welcome to stay at Fort Fido anytime.

Here are three awesome clips of Gunner gunnin' it!

Be well,

Pay The Piper

You know I love this dogs name! ;)

Checkout Piper... She is a nine month old, seventy-five pound, Rhodesian Ridgeback. Piper had an absolutely entertaining stay with us in our Big Roll. She fell into the doggie daycare groove instantly! It's obvious that Piper has been around a dog or two in her short life. Her play style is fast and furious, yet seemingly gentle at the same time. Piper was a joy to have here at Fort Fido. She is very sweet and we will welcome her with open arms upon her return. Well done!

Ahh, so far we are 3-0 for assessments this week. We most certainly hope we stay the course. Tomorrow there are two lined up, our fingers are crossed lol.

Cheers,

-Grant
P.S. How could I forget, here is a clip of Piper and Ziva rippin' around. Too cool!

2 more assessments

We had two more assessments this morning, Frizzy and Otto, both dogs did excellent. Frizzy is a nine week old, black Labradoodle that ventured upstairs to the Little Roll. Otto is a one year old, Rhodesian Ridgeback that did well in the Big Roll. Looks like we will be seeing Frizzy quite a bit and I'm sure Otto will pop in again soon. Good times!

Wow! Summer is definitely over because everyone is coming back. Fall is a busy season for the Fort Fido crew, many dog watchers are back in school.

News bits found this afternoon:

Ask Dog Lady: How do I help neglected puppy?

Calling all surfer dogs: It's your weekend to howl

Dog treats recalled over salmonella

I hope you all have a nice weekend.

Yeah! Christmas pictures!

We collect "Santa & Pup" pictures every Christmas here at Fort Fido and display them in the lobby. If you have a Christmas photo of your pet please bring it in, we'd love it!

So far we have Candy (a Cockapoo) visiting Mr. Kringle at two different locations, Cleo (a Ridgeback mix) with Santa (her owner said Santa was choking her lol) and Lila (Border Collie Mix) hanging out with Jolly Old St. Nick. Enjoy, take care,

-Grant
P.S. I gotta mention that Benny boy has just turned one year old today. He is a good lookin golden Happy Birthday Benny!
