Back to it with new pal Astro!

Meet Astro! He is a good looking, one year old, eight pound, Chihuahua / Miniature Pinscher Mix. Astro is the new "little brother" of Fort Fido mainstay, Miss Cleo, who has been attending The Fort since 2007!

Now Astro hung out in the Little Roll. He didn't do half bad up there, but you could tell he wasn't certain of why he was here. Of course, when it was time for him to leave, he finally began to play with Cortez in the lobby lol. That is most definitely a good sign. Given time and consistency, we are pretty sure that this little fella will be rammin' and jammin', with the best of the Little Roll Pack, soon. Well done Astro, I've got an inkling we'll  be seeing ya around.

:)

Have a great day,

Whoa, Friday already?

(This dog reminds me of Mama Cleo lol. Now, no, don't give your dogs beer! Unless it's this beer, of course, of course. That reminds me, I found this and thought it was very cool... And this. Funny!)

Being in the spirit of Friday, here's a joke for ya.

A three-legged dog walks into a rough looking saloon.

He approaches the Bartender and says,

"I'm looking for the man that shot my paw!".

Hahaha! :) Love that one.

Anyway, it's been a good week. I'll cap it off with some articles.

Dog reunited with family after 300-mile journey (Wow, these stories are always something.)

Legendary film dogs, from Asta to Rin Tin Tin (Toto is my favorite!)

Sausage dog rescued from pipe using digger (Thank goodness.)

Warm, wet winter = woes for dog owners... (I'm quite glad we don't have that problem here. ;)

Enjoy the weekend,

-Grant

Yeah! Christmas pictures!

We collect "Santa & Pup" pictures every Christmas here at Fort Fido and display them in the lobby. If you have a Christmas photo of your pet please bring it in, we'd love it!

So far we have Candy (a Cockapoo) visiting Mr. Kringle at two different locations, Cleo (a Ridgeback mix) with Santa (her owner said Santa was choking her lol) and Lila (Border Collie Mix) hanging out with Jolly Old St. Nick. Enjoy, take care,

-Grant
P.S. I gotta mention that Benny boy has just turned one year old today. He is a good lookin golden Happy Birthday Benny!
