Just thought I'd throw up a few cute pics that I've received recently.
Here is one lingering from The Holidays... Old school friend of The Fort, Kaira, "hugging" her Xmas present from us. Awww!
These next pictures are of our main-man-dog, Louis, rocking his Husky Gear after their win at the Hunger Bowl. Go Dawgs! Hilarious!
Last but certainly not least, checkout this interesting article I got from Pearl's Ma. Not surprisingly, her and I have discussed, at great detail, how and why dogs poo the way they do. LOL! Maybe it's TMI, but it is our biz.
Thank you to you all for the outstanding photos and links. It is much appreciated.
Take it easy,
-Grant

Freaky Friday!
As we get closer and closer to Halloween I thought it would be fun to check out some creative ideas people around the net have had to let Fido join the festivities. here is a link to 20 great ideas.
If that list doesn't tickle your fancy heres a link to a bunch more! including the fearsome Thorgi!
Lastly, remember to keep Fido and Fluffy happy and safe inside the house for this night full of scary sights. Costumes can be stressful for our canine companions no matter how fun it is for us. Keep in mind that Fido may not understand that the ghoul or goblin approaching the door is only a child, and take steps to ensure a pleasant evening for everyone in the household. Here is a few more tips from the ASPCA on how to keep your pup safe on Halloween.
See ya next week!

Baby Blue!
This little stunner is Blue, a nine week old, Old English Bulldog (like our longtime buddy Louis!). Tipping the scales at a scant eight pounds, the sweet and spunky gal started out upstairs with the other little guys, but it became pretty apparent that the personality of this wild child would be better suited to the medium roll. She's all about playtime, and did her best to keep up the pace!
We caught this great clip of her and Cortez in the early morning, having a blast!
We'll be seeing her back again soon,
Hope

Some more of our lovely greeting cards
Take a look, click on each picture to enlarge. Louis's card was another one of my favorites, how creative haha! He always has quite a look on his old Bulldog mug.

We received several marvelous cards this year and we thank you all very much!
I only scanned the cards that had our Fido dogs on them to show my Blog fans. Don't feel left out... We've put every card received up in the lobby for all to see.
:)
Have a great day!

Hey there Wrigley!

This morning we welcomed Wrigley to Fort Fido. He just so happens to be Guinea's cousin (not by blood of course hahaha)! He is a three year old, 65 pound, red and white English Bulldog. Wrigley was a crackup, a likable fella with the biggest tongue we've ever seen! He tore it up good and we assume he'll be very tired this afternoon.

P.S. A little early Halloween in this snippet, I've heard about it numerous times regarding cats, apparently dogs fall into the same category.

King Louie & some articles

Louis the English Bulldog has been coming to Fort Fido since February of '08 . He was about four months old when he started and tomorrow is his second birthday. Louis is a great dog, he can go from 0-60 in no time at all! Sometimes he is laid back, chilling out or neck fighting (a type of play where both dogs are lying down). Other times he's hitting the throttle, bounding around at full speed (he can really catch some air for a bulldog). Louie is very attractive and obedient. His owner's have done a fine job with him, they really put in the work as far as training is concerned. He was acquired from a breeder in Napavine and word on the street is that his lineage can be traced back to a bulldog that Arnold Schwarzenegger had, cool! Rock on Louis, happy birthday!
Enjoy the weekend everybody,
-Grant
P.S. Louis was also kind enough to bring in doggy treats to share with his Fort Fido pals today.
Thank you! In other news, this article is gloomy, this one is much better.
