Freaky Friday!

As we get closer and closer to Halloween I thought it would be fun to check out some creative ideas people around the net have had to let Fido join the festivities. here is a link to 20 great ideas.

If that list doesn't tickle your fancy heres a link to a bunch more! including the fearsome Thorgi!

Lastly, remember to keep Fido and Fluffy happy and safe inside the house for this night full of scary sights. Costumes can be stressful for our canine companions no matter how fun it is for us. Keep in mind that Fido may not understand that the ghoul or goblin approaching the door is only a child, and take steps to ensure a pleasant evening for everyone in the household. Here is a few more tips from the ASPCA on how to keep your pup safe on Halloween.

See ya next week!

Funny Friday!

This week, I figured I could give everyone a good laugh with some hilarious things found around the web

We'll start off with a blog written from a dogs' point of view, covering funny articles about dogs in the news, or at least dog related articles.

Next I figured with October quickly approaching I could throw some costume ideas up so you've got plenty of time to make it happen

Cerberus, the guardian of the gates of Hades, in Greek and Roman mythology or at least in this sense, guardian of his food dish, is a great idea for any pooch with a larger attitude than body!

How about a pirate and his first mate, hiding the beloved treasure of bones and chewy toys!

After the wonder years lol!

Use the Force, to fill my food dish!

For more doggie costume ideas, check out this site!

Thanks again for reading, I hope you got at least a few good chuckles, check back Monday for more of Fort Fido's Blog.
