Dawson & Barkley

This morning we welcomed Dawson & Barkley. Dawson is a 9 year-old dachshund cutie (of course, having a dachshund myself I'm partial). He wandered into Fort Fido this morning with his tail up and sniffer sniffing. In typical dachshund fashion he entered the small roll fearlessly. I adored having Dawson here today.

Barkley is a charming 5 year-old Schnauzer mix. Barkley came into Fort Fido ready to meet some other pups. Soon after entering the small roll, Barkley introduced himself and became acquainted with the rest of the pack.

We look forward to seeing Dawson and Barkley return soon.

Handsome Hank

This morning, we had the pleasure of meeting Hank. He is a handsome 4 month old, 20 pound, black & white Springer Spaniel. Hank joined the medium pack here at the Fort. He quickly made new friends, and enjoyed every minute of his first day here. We look forward to seeing him again soon.

Delightful Dallas

Please give a warm welcome to the delightful Dallas. He is a 1.5 year-old, 55-pound, Shep/Lab Mix. As soon as Dallas was in the front door of The Fort, he began to explore what the building is. He didn't know that he would be entering into the medium roll, but as soon as he entered he became instant friends with Sully and Hazel. The three of them had a fantastic time socializing about in medium roll. As more dogs entered, Dallas became friends with them as well. He had a phenomenal time here at Fort Fido and we are excited to have him return for another fantastic time.

Lucy & Maggie May

This morning we welcomed Lucy. She is a 3 month-old, 12 pound, Goldendoodle cutie. As soon as she came in the front door of Fort Fido she was sniffing about and having a grand time looking around. She then entered the medium roll with high morale. Lucy got to mingle throughout the entire medium roll making a lot of new friends. Lucy has had a marvelous time and got to associate The Fort with fun and socialization. We are looking forward to having her return for more fun.

We had a magnificent time welcoming the charming Maggie May to Fort Fido yesterday. She is a 65-pound, 1 year-old, German Shepard mix. Maggie May was curious as she entered Fort Fido yesterday and took her time sniffing around. After taking that time to pick up what The Fort was about, she began to play with Daisey (See the video below!) and had a fabulous time romping about in the large roll. Maggie just relished her time here and we look forward to seeing her return for more fun.

Sully & Riley

This morning we had the pleasure of welcoming Sully to the Fort. Sully is a 4 month old, 14 pound, American Cocker Spaniel. He joined the small pack, and thoroughly enjoyed his stay. We look forward to seeing him again soon. Sully's older sister Sophie has been coming to the Fort for almost 2 years.

Yesterday we met Riley. She is a 1 year old, 65 pound, White Labrador Retriever. She confidently joined the large pack, and started playing instantly. She spoke great dog, and will be a great addition to the Fort Fido pack. Good job Riley!

Brilliant Bella

Please welcome Bella to the medium roll pack! =) Bella is a 3 year-old, 19 pound, chihuahua/Jack Russell terrier. Because Bella hasn't been exposed to many dogs, she wasn't sure what to think of The Fort. Although it took her some time to build up the courage to greet the others in medium roll, she seemed  to  relax and enjoy her time mingling. We look forward to having Bella return for lots of fun.

Kurious KK

We had the satisfaction of welcoming KK today. She is a small miniature Pincher/Chihuahua and is about 8 years old. KK came in with her tail up and interested in the other dogs within small roll. She did some moving around and sniffing about as she learned what The Fort is about. I loved watching her mingle with the small roll pack and had to chuckle at her enjoyment. We are looking forward to having her return for another exciting day.

Cuddly Clones

I hope that everyone's Monday is off to a good start. Say, one of our customers brought this up and I thought that this was kind of neat. In the upcoming age of 3D printers, you can buy some plush pet replicas. You could get a copy of your own pet as a plush. You could also buy a 3D printed model of your pet as well (but I'm a fan of the plush instead). These plushies cost a whopping $179-$249, depending on what type you get, I was surprised how life-like these really looked. They don't do just dogs, but other animals as well. Their website has more information about the cuddly clones.
