= Copacetic Cooper =

Get a load of Cooper, what a cutie, talk about striking a pose! He is a four month old, eleven pound, Pomeranian/ Miniature Australian Shepherd Mix, that had his assessment this morning.

Cooper hung out with us and The Pack in our Little Roll, where he did an absolutely outstanding job. He wasted no time getting in on the action. Cooper went straight to meeting and greeting, then went right into play with any canine that was game. He even got in on Nancy's Skinneeez Fox Huntin game lol! This little puppy boy was a lot of fun to have at The Fort today. We are thrilled that he had such a blast here. Cooper, you are welcome back anytime my man. Well done!

Cheers,

-Grant

Copper The Mini Aussie

Today we assessed the high spirited and very intelligent Copper. She is a two year old, nineteen pound, Miniature Australian Shepherd. Copper did quite well in our Little Roll where she was introduced to the pack. She exchanged "sniffs" with the other members and was generally curious about the whole situation. Further into her assessment, Copper, struck up play with Little Roll Rough-Rider, Pearl. The two really hit it off. It was great to see Copper get comfortable enough at The Fort, to have some fun on her first day. We look forward to visiting with Copper again and she is more than welcome to come to Fort Fido anytime. Nicely done Copper!

Cheers,

-Grant
P.S. Unfortunately, we were unable to get a clip of Copper and Pearl in action, it was a busy morning! We did however, get this darling pic of Copper for her badge. Doesn't she look like she's puckering up for Prince Charming lol!? Or maybe David? Hahaha! Copper's other photos were cute but a tad too blurry. :(

Good Morning, Madi!

This morning we welcomed another new member into the Fort Fido pack, a one-and-a-half year old Miniature Australian Shepherd named Madi. She is a gorgeous tri-color, and a very clever and determined dog. She is definitely a dog that could handle agility or flyball, and is a credit to her breed.

She started out a little antsy, but once more dogs came (a little guy named Koji in particular) she started to come out of her shell.

We look forward to working with Madi and hope to see more of her.

Have a great day,

-Hope

Chewy!

There is no doubt that this morning's assessment was a winner. The delightful Chewy started today and he did excellent! I'm partial to Aussie's and Sheltie's so that definitely helped him hahaha... He is a Tri-colored, Miniature Australian Shepherd mix, 28 pounds and eight months old. My guess is that the mix is Shetland Sheepdog but who knows? Check out some clips of Chewy below, he fell in love with our little Boston Terrier mix Sofee, she can give any dog a run for it's money!

Enjoy the sunshine this weekend,

-Grant
P.S. Mr. Teddy, a Shih Tzu/Daschund mix, is two years old today. Happy Birthday Ted!
