Meet The Fort's latest guest, Ben. He is a three year old, seventy pound, German Shepherd/Hound Mix. Ben had his assessment early yesterday morning, in the Medium Roll, and did well. A recent rescue, Ben was a bit shy and uninterested in posing for the camera-I can't blame him on that one, I'm not a fan of that myself lol. He was however, very good with the pack once they arrived, speaking his native language of "DOG" fluently and with ease. Ben seemed to enjoy being around the other canines. He is a nice and gentle dog that we will enjoy having amongst our ranks. Welcome to Fort Fido Ben, way to be!
Cheers,
-Grant

This morning (7/16/12) we assessed Doggie Daycare Veteran Gracie.
She is a six year old, fifty-three pound, Hound Mix. Gracie handled our Medium Roll with confidence and ease. She has socialized with other dogs quite a bit in her life. Attending Fort Fido was a walk in the park for her, which is always great for us too! Gracie has plans to come to Dog Daycare again because there is a new baby in her family (Congratulations!). A little extra attention from the group at The Fort will be just the ticket for Gracie. Getting out some extra canine energy, should allow things to go even smoother on the home-front. Especially with the new arrival.
Welcome, Gracie! We are more than happy to have you. Wonderful work today.
Enjoy your week,
-Grant

Zany Zipper!
(Yeah, he's kinda like the ride. Ha!)

Guess what? We had another new dog start this morning... Not surprising at the rate we've been going eh? Spring has sprung and dog-love is in the air! ;)
Meet this young fella Zipper! He is a four month old, thirty-two pound, Labrador Retriever/Hound Mix. Zipper ventured into our Medium Roll where he did swell for a pup on it's first day. He needed a fair bit of "schooling" from the Alphas and older dogs. Zipper's canine communication skills will be sharpened and honed, more and more as he attends. He played umpteen amounts with any dog that would join him. Some dogs however, needed to correct Zipper. Many times, a happy-go-lucky pup, like zipper, won't take "No" for an answer when it comes to play. All in all, Zipper was great and we think he'll truly excel at Fort Fido. Rest up pal, we shall see you next week!
Cheers,
-Grant
P.S. Here is a little clip... It's mostly Buster and Jasmine ripping it up but you can spot Zipper. I think first-rate-employee, Matt (Little brother of Gary), was busy this morning. There wasn't too much time for getting clips.
