Rufus & Blue

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of meeting Rufus. She is a two-year-old, fifteen-pound, Beagle. Rufus joined the Small Dog Program here at the Fort, where she enjoyed mingling with the other dogs. She is welcome back anytime.

Blue came in for his assessment this morning. He is a one-year-old, seventy-four-pound, Treeing Walker Coonhound. Blue had a great first day at the Fort. He spent the morning exploring the Large Dog Program, and playing with Abby and Sergeant Major. We look forward to seeing him again soon.

Have a great weekend,

Leo

My heart strings were definitely pulled this morning when I saw this little cutie walk through our doors. Meet, Leo! He's a Miniature Schnauzer that's only eleven weeks old and weighs three pounds. This fierce little guy trotted up to our Puppy Program with lots of confidence and curiosity. He showed wonderful "dog speak" as he mingled with his new playmates and sniffed around his new surroundings.

Check out this video to see him in action, meeting and greeting everyone.

He also took a great liking to one of The Fort's regulars, Rusty.

As you can see, this little pup had a great first day today. I am very much looking forward to watching him grow, and seeing him return for more daycare fun! Have a good day everyone, try to stay nice and cool!

Lucy & Latte

This little cutie trotted her way into our Small Dog Program early Tuesday morning. As you can see, Lucy is quite the looker. She's a seven month old, five pound Pomeranian mix. Lucy was somewhat shy at first but as her assessment process continued throughout the morning, she seemed to come out of her shell and showed her true energetic self, hanging amongst her new doggie friends.

Latte was today's assessment and she passed with flying colors. Unlike Lucy, Latte is not a puppy. She's a twelve year old Labrador Retriever that weighs seventy pounds. Latte doesn't let her age defy her energy though. She kept up with the younger dogs and even made a few new friends. It looks like that energetic personality trait is something that her and Lucy have in common.

What's nice about Fort Fido is that whether your dog is big or small, young are old, we have a specific program for them. All good and healthy dogs are welcome here! We don't let age get in the way. Have a wonderful evening everyone.

Pietro

This morning we had the pleasure of meeting Pietro. He is a very energetic fourteen-year-old, fifteen-pound, Chihuahua/Terrier Mix. Pietro joined our Small Dog Program and had a great first day. He spoke very good dog, and enjoyed mingling with the others. He has a lot of energy for an older dog, and definitely doesn't act his age. He is welcome back anytime. We look forward to seeing him again soon.

Have a great weekend,

Elsa

We welcomed this beauty in our doors this morning. Say hello to Elsa, the one year old, fifty pound Husky/Cattle Dog mix. Her brother Bear, has been coming to The Fort a little over a year now and he's a pretty awesome dog, so we were excited to meet Elsa. She sure knew how to "leeeeet it gooooo" and have a fun time here on her first day. She greeted her new playmates by sniffing them, and mingling with the pack. She already fits in with everyone wonderfully and we think after several other visits she'll make this place her second home.

Elsa is welcome to come back and hang out alongside her brother any time she pleases.
Have a nice and relaxing evening everyone; you're halfway there to Friday! Yay!

Pugsley the Pug

This little sweetie joined our Small Dog Program yesterday morning. Pugsley is a curious, three year old Pug/Boston Terrier  mix that weighs twenty five pounds. The first thing she did when she entered her new hangout was sniff around the floor; checking out all the cool and exciting toys, as well as our picnic table and tire swing. It was cute watching her explore and scope out the place.

I look forward in seeing her return soon
Enjoy the rest of today's beautiful sunshine!

Raffle Basket #1 Results

As you guys know, we wanted to express our appreciation for all our wonderful customers this Summer. We decided the best way to do that is make up three baskets, giving away one each month. They're full of all kinds of goodies that we sell here such as: treats, toys, collars/leashes, and maybe even  Fromms!

In order to be entered into the drawing, all you have to do is bring your dog here for daycare, and they'll be entered in. The more times you attend daycare, the more chances you have at winning! We drew the winner for our first basket this morning, check out the video below to see who the lucky customer was!

Here's a sneak peak of what Raffle Basket #2 looks like

Remember, the drawing is still on! I wish you all the best of luck and am excited to see who our second winner will be.

Clover & JoJo

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of meeting Clover. She is a six-month-old, Australian Labradoodle. Clover joined our Medium Dog Program, where she quickly made friends with Mizu and Frankie. She had a great first day here at the Fort, spending most of her time playing with the other dogs.

Clover is the sister of Fort Fido veteran Molly, who has been attending the Fort since 2013.

JoJo came in for her assessment early this morning. She is a four-month-old, seventeen-pound, Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. Like Clover, JoJo also joined our Medium Dog Program. She enjoyed playing with Zoey the energetic Standard Poodle pup. She is welcome back anytime and we look forward to seeing her again soon.

Have a great weekend,
- Gary
